The Career Pathways for Central Texans program provides workforce education, career counseling, and other training opportunities for adults in order to prepare them for smooth transition into occupational certification programs, college credit programs and the workforce. The program provides career planning, workforce readiness training, financial aid workshops, assistance in navigating college systems, and college readiness preparation.
The Career Pathways program also offers a College Prep Academy designed to help students improve the academic skills needed to pass the college placement tests and enter college ready to succeed in credit coursework. Students will also study various “college knowledge” topics that will assist them to be more confident in making decisions throughout their college experience. College Knowledge topics include; goal setting, time management, study skills, test anxiety, note taking, and accessing online services. |
